Üsküdar University has been accepted as a member of the European University Association (EUA) and the Union of Turkic Universities (TÜRKÜNİB).
Üsküdar University has added a new milestone to its internationalization vision by being accepted into the European University Association (EUA), Europe’s most prestigious higher education network, and into the Union of Turkic Universities (TÜRKÜNİB), a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening academic, scientific, and cultural ties among universities across the Turkic world.
Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör commented on these important developments, stating: “Our global university journey continues to gain momentum. We are accelerating our cooperation processes with our fraternal universities.”

Üsküdar University has added a new milestone to its internationalization vision by being accepted into the European University Association (EUA), Europe’s most prestigious higher education network, and into the Union of Turkic Universities (TÜRKÜNİB), a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening academic, scientific, and cultural ties among universities across the Turkic world.
The European University Association (EUA), which operates to enhance quality, collaboration, and academic standards in European higher education, brings together more than 900 universities and national rectors’ conferences from over 49 countries, representing the largest and most influential higher education network on the continent.
As a strategic partner of the European Commission and international organizations in shaping higher education policies, the Association unites some of the world’s most respected academic institutions under one umbrella.

Üsküdar University meets international academic standards
The official inclusion of Üsküdar University in this distinguished network, which also includes Türkiye’s leading institutions such as Boğaziçi, Middle East Technical University (METU), Koç, Sabancı, and Bilkent Universities, is regarded as a significant confirmation that Üsküdar University meets international academic standards.
Üsküdar University’s membership application was approved and took effect following the most recent meeting of the EUA Council.

The European University Association (EUA) regularly evaluates its member institutions in terms of the quality of their education, teaching, and research activities, as well as their institutional development, innovative practices, and scientific productivity. To promote best practices in higher education, the EUA periodically prepares tailored recommendations and guidance reports for universities, creating a qualified development network and contributing significantly to its members’ pursuit of continuous improvement and excellence.

Üsküdar University also joins the Union of Turkic Universities
Üsküdar University has also taken a strategic step to strengthen its academic, scientific, and cultural ties with universities in the Turkic world by being accepted into the Union of Turkic Universities (TÜRKÜNİB). This membership marks an important milestone in the university’s ongoing efforts to expand its scientific collaboration with its fraternal geographies.
A platform connecting universities across the Turkic World
The Union of Turkic Universities (TÜRKÜNİB) serves as a prestigious organization that brings together distinguished higher education institutions from Turkic-speaking countries under one roof. Its main goals include promoting knowledge and experience exchange among its members, developing joint research projects, and enhancing student and faculty mobility. Alongside Türkiye, many respected universities from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and Hungary are part of the TÜRKÜNİB network.
The Union fosters a strong collaborative network among Turkic universities through joint degree programs, academic exchange projects, quality assurance initiatives in education, and collaborative scientific publications.
