Üsküdar University strengthened international collaborations at EAIE 2026

Üsküdar University participated in the "EAIE 2026 Annual Conference & Exhibition," one of Europe's most prestigious higher education organizations. At the exhibition held in Glasgow, Scotland, the university was represented by A. Furkan Tarhan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Üsküdar University, and Gürkan Dinçer, Erasmus Institutional Coordinator of the Office of International Relations. Within the scope of the exhibition, the university delegation met with higher education institutions from various geographies, evaluating new opportunities in academic collaborations, student and academic staff mobility, Erasmus processes, and joint project areas.

Üsküdar University, which positions internationalization among its strategic priorities, strengthened its contacts with international higher education institutions within the scope of the EAIE 2026 Annual Conference & Exhibition, organized by the European Association for International Education (EAIE). 

The exhibition, held at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow, Scotland, between September 8-11, 2026, was represented by A. Furkan Tarhan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Üsküdar University, and Gürkan Dinçer, Erasmus Institutional Coordinator of the Office of International Relations.

Global higher education world met in Glasgow

EAIE 2026 brought together university administrators, academics, and internationalization specialists from different countries around the world in Glasgow. The exhibition, which addressed the development of international collaborations in higher education, mobility programs, and global education opportunities, offered institutions the chance to establish new connections and enhance existing partnerships.

Contacts from Üsküdar University to various geographies…

In this context, the Üsküdar University delegation met with numerous universities and educational institutions from various geographies, primarily the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Oman, and South Africa.

During the bilateral meetings, in addition to developing existing academic collaborations, views were exchanged on establishing new partnerships and conducting joint studies in various fields.

Erasmus and joint academic programs were on the agenda

During the meetings held within the scope of EAIE 2026, collaboration opportunities were evaluated on various topics, including Erasmus+ mobilities, student and academic staff exchanges, joint academic programs, and research collaborations.

The contacts also addressed opportunities for developing sustainable academic relations with higher education institutions in different countries and diversifying international mobility opportunities for students and academic staff.

International academic collaboration network is expanding

The contacts made at EAIE 2026 contributed to Üsküdar University's efforts to develop its international academic collaboration network. Meetings with higher education institutions and educational organizations from various countries enabled the university to establish new academic connections globally and advance its existing collaborations.
