Social innovation projects, developed and executed under the academic mentorship of Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Founding Rector of Üsküdar University, have garnered interest from ministries. During meetings where these projects were introduced and their details discussed, Dr. Nebiye Yaşar, Project Development Director at Üsküdar University, emphasized the projects' societal contribution and their future impact. Meetings were held with the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the General Directorate of Civil Society Relations of the Ministry of Interior, and the General Directorate of Copyrights of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Üsküdar University's social innovation projects continue to expand their impact across Turkey. Meetings held with ministries once again demonstrated how effective these projects are, offering concrete solutions to different segments of society. The projects aim to be disseminated both nationally and internationally, offering a wide range of collaboration opportunities.

Discussions held regarding collaborations with Üsküdar University
The Ministry of Family and Social Services showed particular interest in 'Family'-themed projects, which are part of the social innovation initiatives. It was stated that these projects play a significant role in strengthening family unity, improving intra-family communication, and fostering solidarity. Ministry officials shared their views on the applicability of the projects across all segments of society, and positive discussions were held regarding potential collaborations with Üsküdar University in this area. The meeting was attended by Dr. Nebiye Yaşar, Project Development Director at Üsküdar University; Dr. Sevim Sayım Madak, Deputy Minister of Family and Social Services; Tuncay Cevheroğlu, General Director of Family and Community Services; Esra Yaman, Head of the Family Education and Counseling Services Department; and the project support team.
Projects are of great importance for youth
The Ministry of Youth and Sports closely examined the “Positive Youth, Positive Future” project, which aims to contribute to the personal and social development of young people. It was emphasized that these projects have great potential in strengthening the future social roles of young people and equipping them with positive values. The meeting was attended by Dr. Nebiye Yaşar; Av. Assoc. Dr. Safa Koçoğlu, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports; Furkan Gencer, Ministry Expert for Youth Projects at the Ministry of Youth and Sports; and the project support team.
Serving as an example for NGOs across Turkey…
The General Directorate of Civil Society Relations of the Ministry of Interior also evaluated the potential of social innovation projects to strengthen their relationships with civil society organizations. It was stated that the projects create a model for civil society to contribute more effectively to solving societal problems. In this context, it was noted that the projects could serve as an example for NGOs across Turkey. Details were discussed at the meeting attended by Dr. Nebiye Yaşar; Fahrettin Kaya, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations and Information Processing at the Ministry of Interior; Fatih Günay, Head of the Department of Civil Society Relations at the General Directorate of Civil Society Relations of the Ministry of Interior; and Sercan Yazıcı, Planning Specialist at the General Directorate of Civil Society Relations of the Ministry of Interior.
Raising awareness of copyright in cultural projects is necessary
The General Directorate of Copyrights of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism addressed the projects' impact on the cultural field and their evaluation in terms of copyright. It was emphasized that these projects could play an important role in preserving cultural values and transmitting them to future generations. Furthermore, it was stated that cultural projects need to comply with copyright regulations and that awareness in this area needs to be raised.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Nebiye Yaşar, Project Development Director at Üsküdar University; Erkin Yılmaz, General Director of Copyrights at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism; and the project support team.
Following the meetings, a set of books by Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan was presented to the ministerial representatives.
