In the 2020-21 Academic Year, which began under the shadow of pandemic conditions, Üsküdar Üniversitesi, continuing its journey with the motto 'Fi-Jital University', acquired a total of 23 thousand Zoom licenses for each of its students, together with its academicians, to enable them to gain more efficiency from online lessons.
Üsküdar Üniversitesi, which established a robust technological infrastructure with significant investments, had implemented the concept of 'Fi-Jital University' to offer remote, uninterrupted education opportunities to its students during the pandemic. With this step, students are effectively benefiting from both the physical and digital education of the university. While Üsküdar Üniversitesi students could receive synchronous (live) online education by entering the virtual classroom application Perculus via the ALMS program for remote education courses and applications conducted through many digital platforms, a collaboration with Zoom has now been established. Furthermore, integration efforts for conducting synchronous (live) education by accessing Zoom via ALMS, and for recording and re-watching the conducted lessons, are also underway.
Interactive Participation Facilitated
Taking another significant step to enable its students to gain more efficiency from online lessons, the university purchased a total of 23 thousand Zoom licenses for each student, along with the academic staff. After tests of delivering Master's courses via Zoom software through the STIX program, which offers students easier interactive participation without interaction or time limits, lessons will now be conducted using Zoom software via ALMS with the newly acquired Zoom licenses. In Zoom lessons, all students will be able to keep their cameras open without a participant limit. They will be able to participate instantly with microphones. Thus, the aim is to increase learning efficiency and elevate interaction to a higher level in these more interactive lessons.

Academicians and students, who can also benefit from online meetings and conferences via the ZOOM program, can also maintain communication with each other and ensure 24/7 sharing of information, documents, and assignments through the STIX program (stix.uskudar.edu.tr) developed by Üsküdar Üniversitesi Information Technologies Directorate.
