Üsküdar Üniversitesi Head of the Department of Family Medicine, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ayhan Özşahin, coordinated the first focus group meeting for the 'Support for Children's Healthy Mental Development' research, conducted within the scope of Scientific Research Projects (BAP).

During the first focus group meeting of the project held at the Çarşı Campus, family physicians gathered to receive expert opinions on policies regarding appropriate approaches in childhood.
"We decided to continue our cooperation"
Özşahin stated that they had a detailed discussion within the scope of the project with experienced professional family physicians actively working in the field, saying, "First of all, it made us happy to observe that our family physicians are well-versed in the subject, take ownership of their work, and display a professional approach. Their field experiences and observations shared with us will guide us in this project. We decided to continue our effective cooperation throughout the subsequent process of this study."
"As it starts, so it goes"
Associate Professor Dr. Gökben Hızlı Sayar, Director of Üsküdar University Institute of Social Sciences, who is on the project's advisory board, also stated, "We attach great importance to this project. We set out with the slogan 'As it starts, so it goes.' We know that an appropriate approach to children aged 0-3 is crucial for the mental health of both the individual and society as a whole."
During the meeting, mask and social distancing rules were observed in accordance with pandemic conditions.
