Üsküdar University Participated in EWP Convention 2026

Üsküdar University, steadfastly pursuing its internationalization vision, participated in the “EWP Convention 2026,” where the digital future of the Erasmus+ program was discussed, and met with leading higher education institutions in Europe. Üsküdar University, which closely followed developments in digital transformation and international cooperation on-site, was represented by Mehmet Kaymaz, Assistant Erasmus Institutional Coordinator of the International Relations Department.

The event, held in Naples, Italy, between June 16-18, 2026, brought together higher education institutions, Erasmus coordinators, and experts working in the field of digitalization from various European countries. EWP Convention 2026 served as an international platform where important topics concerning the future of Erasmus processes were discussed.

Only three universities from Turkey participated

Üsküdar University was one of only three universities from Turkey to participate in the event. Within this scope, the university had the opportunity to closely follow current developments in the Erasmus field and establish direct contact with leading European universities.

Digital transformation of Erasmus discussed

Throughout the congress, Erasmus Without Paper (EWP), European Student Card Initiative (ESCI), AI-supported academic recognition systems, and innovative applications for digitalization in Erasmus processes were discussed. During the sessions, current studies aimed at making student and staff mobility processes faster, safer, and more efficient were shared with the participants.

New cooperation opportunities evaluated

During meetings held with university representatives from various European countries within the scope of the event, ideas were exchanged for the development of existing collaborations, and new partnership and project opportunities were also evaluated. The discussions laid the groundwork for new collaborations in line with Üsküdar University's internationalization goals.

Contributed to the internationalization vision

Üsküdar University’s participation in EWP Convention 2026 was considered an important step in developing activities carried out within the Erasmus program and closely monitoring digital transformation processes. 

The participation strengthened the university's internationalization vision and once again demonstrated its place among higher education institutions that implement innovations in the Erasmus field and adapt to digital transformation processes.
