Üsküdar University once again demonstrated its goal of strengthening international academic cooperation by taking part in the 9th General Assembly Meeting of the Balkan Universities Association (BUA). During the meeting, the delegation participated in sessions addressing topics such as student and staff mobility, common research opportunities, and improving the quality of education. While the internationalization vision was shared through bilateral meetings held within the scope of the program, significant contacts were established for the development of new strategic collaborations, especially within the framework of Erasmus+ and exchange programs.

The Balkan Universities Association (BUA), aiming to increase academic cooperation, develop common scientific projects, and strengthen cultural interaction among higher education institutions in the Balkan geography, held its 9th General Assembly Meeting in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
Üsküdar University also took an active part in the organization, which is one of the important academic networks of the region.

Gathered in the Balkans
At the general assembly, where numerous university rectors and representatives from the Balkans gathered, Üsküdar University was represented by Rector's Advisor Prof. Mehmet Zelka and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator Gürkan Dinçer.
Many topics discussed
During the sessions held within the scope of the meeting,
- Inter-university student and staff mobility,
- Establishment of common research centers, and
- Important topics such as increasing the quality of education in the region were discussed.

Bilateral meetings held
The Üsküdar University delegation held bilateral meetings with representatives of member universities throughout the general assembly, sharing the university's internationalization vision and evaluating potential collaborations that could be developed with Balkan universities.
Academic visibility increased in the region
Membership in the Balkan Universities Association increases Üsküdar University's academic visibility in the region, while also contributing to the development of new strategic partnerships, especially within the scope of Erasmus+ and exchange programs.
