Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör: “Candidates will be at perhaps the most difficult decision-making stage of their lives…”
Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, pointing out that prospective students will be at one of the most difficult decision-making stages of their lives during the preference period, said; “We are together again in a new preference and promotion period. The exam results were announced on July 16. I hope we will achieve good results. Of course, it's a busy period, we will spend a busy few weeks together. It is our most exciting period. Who will choose us? We will carry out this process together. Ultimately, these students, candidates, will be at perhaps the most difficult decision-making stage of their lives. Therefore, at this decision stage, we must think in two dimensions. Of course, our instructors, with whom we have carried out this process for years, are already experienced, but we are a constantly developing and growing university. Therefore, we need to think in two ways.”
Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak: “We need to evaluate their first impressions very well”
Üsküdar University Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak, emphasizing that the first impressions of prospective students are very important, said; “While students and parents experience an exciting day with the announcement of the scores they have eagerly awaited since primary school, we, as a university, experience that day in the same way. When they come to the preference period, our students and parents follow us on social media and do research. They also come to universities for face-to-face meetings with a certain idea. Of course, face-to-face contact, eye-to-eye contact, is very important. How should we answer the questions, ‘Why are we here? Why should we choose Üsküdar University?’ Why should prospective students choose Üsküdar University? Both students and parents… Of course, no matter how much they learn or see, they want to come and see the place. As you know, the first impression is very important. The first impression made when you first encounter the university's appearance, classrooms, library, laboratories, and instructors is very important. They will also change the lives of society, children, and parents. Just as there are those who want to come and make a choice, there will also be those who are hesitant and will make a decision after meeting you and us here. For this reason, we need to evaluate their first impressions very well.”
Exp. Psych. Couns. Ece Tözeniş: “We set out with the slogan ‘Üsküdar, Pioneer of Change’…”

Ece Tözeniş, emphasizing that Üsküdar University is ready for ‘Preference and Promotion Days’ with the announcement of YKS results, said; “During this period, we set out with the slogan ‘Üsküdar, Pioneer of Change.’ All our campuses are ready for the preference days starting now.
