Üsküdar University hosts students from England with its summer school

The “Erasmus Summer School” Program, organized by the Üsküdar University International Relations Department, Erasmus Coordination Office, has commenced. The two-week program, attended by students from Bradford University in England, will offer participants an international learning experience with academic seminars, as well as cultural tours and social events.

The program, attended by students from Bradford University in England, began with an opening program held at the Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall on Üsküdar University's Main Campus.

An orientation program was held on the first day

On the first day of the program, Üsküdar University was introduced to the students. As part of the orientation, participants were informed about the university's academic structure, campus life, and living in Istanbul. With the campus tour organized later in the day, students had the opportunity to closely examine the university's educational and social living areas.

Academic and cultural events will be offered together

Throughout the Summer School Program, participants will attend academic seminars conducted by the Faculty of Communication. The program will also include Turkish language training, a Turkish history seminar, and various sessions in the field of communication.

In addition to academic activities, cultural programs such as traditional Turkish breakfast, Turkish film screenings, an Üsküdar city tour, a Bosphorus cruise, a nature walk and picnic event in Belgrade Forest, and Turkish coffee tasting will also be held for students. Thus, participants are aimed to get to know Türkiye's cultural heritage closely.

Students participating in the two-week program will have the opportunity to attend various seminars and to closely discover Istanbul's historical and cultural riches.

The program will conclude with a certificate ceremony

The Erasmus Summer School Program, which will conclude with a certificate ceremony to be held on July 10, aims to strengthen academic and social interaction among students from different cultures, develop international collaborations, and contribute to Üsküdar University's international visibility.
