Üsküdar University hosted a delegation from International Turan University, one of Uzbekistan’s leading higher education institutions. The visit, hosted by the Office of International Relations Erasmus+ Coordination Unit, aimed to enhance academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities. Within this scope, presentations and meetings were held, focusing on the academic structures, educational opportunities and internationalization goals of both institutions.
The delegation, led by Prof. Madina Abdrashitova, Head of International Relations, was welcomed at Üsküdar University’s Main Campus. The guests were received by the Erasmus+ Coordination team of Üsküdar University.
Academic and scientific cooperation to be strengthened
During the meetings held as part of the visit, reciprocal presentations were delivered with the aim of developing academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities. The presentations addressed the academic frameworks, educational facilities and internationalization visions of both institutions.
As part of the program, students from International Turan University were introduced to Üsküdar University.
Lecture delivered to communication students
In addition, Asst. Prof. Maria Pia Ester Cristaldi, Faculty Member of the Department of New Media and Communication at the Faculty of Communication, delivered a lecture for students studying communication sciences. The lecture aimed to familiarize students with the university and its academic structure.
Joint projects on the agenda
One of the key agenda items of the meeting was international mobility.
During the discussions, opportunities for joint project development, student and staff exchange programs, and potential collaborations within the scope of Erasmus+ between Üsküdar University and International Turan University were evaluated. Furthermore, an informative presentation was delivered on Üsküdar University’s academic infrastructure and the opportunities it offers.
The visit marked an important step toward strengthening academic and cultural cooperation between Üsküdar University and International Turan University.
