Üsküdar University History Department final year student Can Berkay Balyer was accepted into the Classics and Ancient History master's program at the University of Exeter in England. Balyer, who will receive a scholarship for his education, also stated that he received admission from King's College London, Kent, and Reading Universities.
Üsküdar University graduates continue their academic studies internationally. Balyer, who is preparing to graduate from Üsküdar University's History department, had his master's application to the University of Exeter accepted.
Stating that he won a 5,000-pound scholarship for the program, Balyer also mentioned that he received admission from King's College London and Kent Universities in England.
Can stated that Üsküdar University faculty members encouraged them to apply for master's programs abroad, and regarding the application process and master's degree: “In the field of Ancient History in Europe, England is among the countries offering the best programs. There are Classics specialization areas. King's College London was among the schools I wanted to study at, but I didn't get a scholarship. I qualified for a 5,000-pound scholarship from the University of Exeter. The master's program lasts 1 year. After the master's degree, I will have a 2-year work permit in England with some bureaucratic procedures. If all conditions are met, I would very much like to stay there and continue my academic work.”
