A “Profession and Career Planning Seminar” was organized through the cooperation of Üsküdar University and the Sultanbeyli District Directorate of National Education. During the full day event, the importance of making accurate profession and career plans at an early age was emphasized, while the contribution of university public sector collaborations to students’ personal development and future vision was discussed. The event, where Üsküdar University academics shared information on educational processes and career opportunities in different disciplines, was met with great interest.

The seminar, held at Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan Cultural Center, was attended by Sultanbeyli District Director of National Education Süreyya Aydın, Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör, Sultanbeyli District Governor Kemal Şahin, Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine Vice Dean Prof. Mehmet Aydın, Vocational School of Health Services Director Asst. Prof. Ömer Faruk Karasakal, Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Speech and Language Therapy Asst. Prof. Seçil Aydın Oral, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Department of Software Engineering (English) Research Assistant Şeyma Yektar, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Department of Psychology Research Assistant Betül Çelebi Dağ, and Faculty of Communication Department of Visual Communication Design Research Assistant Simge Kırteke.

In his opening speech, Sultanbeyli District Governor Kemal Şahin stated that career planning is not limited to choosing a profession, but is a holistic process that supports students’ personal development and prepares them for the future. Sultanbeyli District Director of National Education Süreyya Aydın highlighted the importance of young people making the right profession and career plans at an early age. Aydın underlined that such collaborations, which support students in discovering their interests and abilities, make significant contributions to the education and training process.

Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör stated in her speech that universities are not only institutions that produce academic knowledge, but also structures that guide society and young people. Güngör noted that with its student centered education approach, Üsküdar University supports young people in making conscious choices in their career journeys by bringing together different disciplines. She also emphasized that recognizing one’s own potential and developing competencies in the right fields will strengthen both individual success and social development in the long term.

During the seminar, Üsküdar University academics provided students with information about educational processes, professional experiences, and career opportunities related to their fields. Presentations from different disciplines such as health, engineering, psychology, and communication addressed university life, department preferences, and post graduation career paths.
