Üsküdar University Exceeds Turkey and World Average in Female Academician Count

Üsküdar University, which values women's participation in business life, has once again proven its place among female employee-friendly institutions. According to the data from the Council of Higher Education, while the rate of female academicians in universities in Turkey is 46.4 percent, this rate is 43 percent in European and OECD countries. Üsküdar University, with its 53.6 percent female academician rate, is above both the Turkey and OECD countries' averages. 

 

At Üsküdar University, which is aware of the importance of female employment in professional life, an examination of academic staff data revealed that the number of female employees is higher than in European and OECD countries. 

The average in European and OECD countries is 43 percent.

According to the data announced by the Council of Higher Education, the rate of female academicians in Turkey is above the averages of European and OECD countries. In fact, there are a total of 181,498 teaching staff in Turkish universities. Of these, 97,291 are men and 84,207 are women. 

Accordingly, the rate of female academicians in our country is 46.4 percent. 

At Üsküdar University, the rate of female academicians is 53.6 percent, which is significantly above this average.

Significantly Above Turkey and World Averages…

At Üsküdar University, there are a total of 627 teaching staff. 

Of these, 291 are men and 336 are women. 

Accordingly, the rate of female academicians is 53.6 percent, significantly above the Turkey and World averages.
