Üsküdar University's Faculty of Dentistry, which began its educational life in the 2021-2022 Academic Year, aims to train knowledgeable, well-equipped, value-producing dentists of the future with its state-of-the-art laboratories, clinics, classrooms, and social areas on the NP Dental and Health Campus, established on an area of 35 thousand square meters.
“We offer unique content that prepares students for the future”
Üsküdar University Faculty of Dentistry Dean Prof. Dr. Yumuşhan Günay, stating that the Faculty of Dentistry program started its education with the slogan 'Living the age, building the future'; said: “We offer contemporary and unique content to students, preparing them for the future, evaluated within the programs of prominent universities worldwide. As Üsküdar University, we base the education of the dentistry program on 3 different foundations. The areas we have created in the form of basic fine arts, basic medicine, and dentistry education were included in the program not only to develop students' visual and motor skills but also to foster the human sensitivity that a physician must possess.”
The first theoretical art education lesson took place in the Faculty of Dentistry's art workshop
Prof. Dr. Yumuşhan Günay said: “Today, you witnessed the first theoretical lesson of art education in the Faculty of Dentistry's art workshop, which is being implemented for the first time in Turkey with the support of Üsküdar University's Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan. Our practical applications will become operational very soon. I hope that in 3-5 months, we will be exhibiting many fine art works such as paintings and sculptures. We also invite you to take photos of those works, just as you took photos of our faculty's opening today.”
