Students of Üsküdar University's Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Ergotherapy, experienced the excitement of their lab coat ceremony. In a ceremony not held last year due to the pandemic, second and third-year students, in addition to first-year students, also wore white lab coats, experiencing moments full of enthusiasm.

Prof. Dr. Şefik Dursun, Dean of Üsküdar University's Faculty of Health Sciences, delivered the opening speech at the ceremony held in the Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall at the Main Campus, drawing attention to the faculty's comprehensive education and strong academic staff.
Dursun stated that Üsküdar University is the university with the most departments among Faculties of Health Sciences in Turkey; "The Department of Ergotherapy is a locomotive for Üsküdar University in terms of its capacity and academic staff. One of the 13 Health Sciences departments at our university is the Ergotherapy department. Our global fight against the pandemic continues, and as a university, we are striving to get through this process with as little damage as possible. Our education continues with 60 percent face-to-face and 40 percent online instruction. Üsküdar University is an established university of 12 years with over 20,000 students. There are 13 different departments in Üsküdar University's Faculty of Health Sciences. No other faculty of health sciences in Turkey has 13 departments."

Continuing with the speeches of Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak, Koçak emphasized the importance of the Ergotherapy department. Koçak stated; "Healthcare has a history as old as humanity itself. As you work in the field of health and practice this profession, you will serve people who are awaiting help. This is a privilege, but it also carries great responsibility. Therefore, you must work very hard. With this lab coat ceremony, you have taken your first step into the profession. The white lab coat symbolizes transparency, cleanliness, and trust."
The program continued with the academic staff of the Ergotherapy department presenting white lab coats to 125 students on stage, followed by a group photo session and the presentation of flowers to the Head of the Ergotherapy Department, Prof. Dr. Sevda Asqarova.
The lab coat ceremony, which was also broadcast live on ÜÜTV, attracted significant interest from families as well as students.
