As every year, members of Üsküdar Üniversitesi visited the 15 July Martyrs' Monument and the 15 July Memory Museum this year. The Üsküdar University members, who prayed at the martyrs' monument, also visited the memory museum where the events etched into history that night are exhibited.
Üsküdar Üniversitesi Health, Culture and Sports Directorate organized a visit to the 15 July Martyrs' Monument on the 6th Anniversary of the 15 July Coup Attempt.
The academic and administrative staff, led by Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Zelka, prayed for the 251 martyrs who lost their lives on the night of the 15 July 2016 Coup Attempt and whose names are inscribed on the 15 July Martyrs' Monument.
After the prayer led by Professor Dr. Niyazi Beki of the Institute of Sufi Studies, the members also visited the Memory Museum.
Students also unfurled a banner that read 'We are the Guardians of Democracy'.
