Students from Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication, participating in the 'TRT Future Communicators' competition organized by TRT to discover talented young people in the field of communication, became finalists with three different projects in two categories. Within the scope of the competition, Üsküdar University students achieved great success with their documentary "Turkey's Space Journey" in the documentary film category, and "Loneliness" and "The Ring in the Lighthouse" films in the animation film category.
Three projects by Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication students in two different categories qualified as finalists in the TRT Future Communicators competition.
“Turkey's Space Journey” reached the finals in the documentary category
The documentary titled “Turkey's Space Journey” became one of the projects to reach the finals in the documentary film category.
The documentary, bearing the signatures of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication students Diyorbek Abdurakhimov, Mukadder Güneş, and Zeynep Erva Karaçay, focused on Turkey's space research and advancements in this field. The project was advised by Assistant Professor Dr. Ceren Saran Doğan from Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication, Journalism Department.
The documentary featured experiments conducted in space by the first Turkish astronaut Alper Gezeravcı, and the “Message” experiment by Assistant Professor Dr. Cihan Taştan from Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, along with the TRGENMER team.
Two projects reached the finals in the animation film category
The film “Loneliness”, which qualified for the finals in the animation film category, bears the signature of Esin Ülkü, a student from Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication. Writer and illustrator Esin Ülkü achieved great success by reaching the finals with her 2D animation.
The project was advised by Lecturer Özgül Öztürk from Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication, Cartoon and Animation Department.
The second project to reach the finals in the animation film category, “The Ring in the Lighthouse” film, bears the signature of Kadriye Çetinkaya, a student from Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication. Çetinkaya qualified for the finals with her 3D animation.
The project was advised by Assistant Professor Dr. Dicle Yıldırım from Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication, Visual Communication Design Department.

The TRT Future Communicators Competition is considered an important platform that allows young communicators to solidify their place in the industry. With these achievements, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication students have once again showcased their promising talents in the field of communication.
