The 2nd National Molecular Biology and Genetics Student Congress was organized by Erzurum Teknik Üniversitesi, Faculty of Science, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, Rector's Advisor at Üsküdar Üniversitesi and a faculty member in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, participated in the congress. Konuk delivered a presentation titled “Pharmacogenetics as an Approach to Translational Science: The Üsküdar Üniversitesi Example,” which garnered significant interest from the participants.
Over 400 students from universities such as Kars Kafkas Üniversitesi, Van Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi, Malatya İnönü Üniversitesi, and Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi attended the congress held at Erzurum Teknik Üniversitesi.
The 2nd National Molecular Biology and Genetics Student Congress, organized this year as part of a project submitted to the University Student Societies Cooperation and Support Program (ÜNİDES), brought together students, academics, and researchers from across Turkey under one roof. Within this scope, scientific sessions featuring expert speakers, oral presentations, and poster presentations were held.

During the congress, Konuk, who delivered a presentation titled “Pharmacogenetics as an Approach to Translational Science: The Üsküdar Üniversitesi Example,” discussed the facilities and studies at Üsküdar Üniversitesi.
During the two-day congress, solutions offered by molecular biology and genetics in various fields such as health, agriculture, environment, microbiology, and industry were discussed through student presentations in scientific sessions.
