The 8th General Assembly of the Union of Turkish Universities (TÜRKÜNİB) was hosted by Tashkent International University. Significant decisions aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of higher education were taken at the general assembly, which was attended by over 70 university rectors, academicians, and representatives from the Turkic world. In this context, Üsküdar University's membership in the Union of Turkish Universities was also accepted.

Üsküdar University's Membership in TÜRKÜNİB Accepted
At the meeting, Üsküdar University's membership in TÜRKÜNİB was officially accepted. Thus, Üsküdar University became a member of this important union, which strengthens academic solidarity in the Turkic world.
Project Presentation Made
Prof. Dr. Ebulfez Süleymanlı, a faculty member of the Sociology Department at Üsküdar University's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and a specialist at the Turkic Academy, attended the general assembly and presented his project titled "Turkic Barometer 2025: Youth in Turkic States.
As the project coordinator, Süleymanlı shared the findings of the research conducted on university youth's perspective on the Turkic World, identity affiliation, and educational and technological trends in Turkic states.
62 New Universities in TÜRKÜNİB
Furthermore, it was decided at the general assembly to accept 62 new universities as members of TÜRKÜNİB. With this development, the number of member universities in the union reached 172.
Among the decisions taken were the establishment of a special fund for the Orkhun Exchange Program and the strengthening of TÜRKÜNİB's institutional structure.
