Gilberto Terente, Director of Education Programs at the Spanish Embassy, paid a visit to Üsküdar University. During the meeting chaired by Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, topics such as cultural similarities between Spain and Turkey, potential projects, research, training, and Erasmus Mobility between universities were discussed. Terente was also informed about the elective Spanish courses at Üsküdar University and the students' demand for the Spanish language.

The visit, held at the Central Campus Senate Hall, was attended by Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, Rector's Advisor Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, Foreign Languages Coordinator Lecturer Dilek Batur, Erasmus Coordinator Peyman Jaferi, Faculty of Common Languages Lecturer Raghid Alhajj, and Spanish language instructor Betül Büyükgöze.

High demand for Spanish courses was noted

During the visit, the elective Spanish courses at Üsküdar University were discussed. It was also stated that these courses include the participation of international students and are led by Spanish instructors proficient in English.

Terente was also informed that there is a significant demand from Üsküdar students for the elective Spanish courses, and the high capacity of the course.

Mutual support was pledged

Gilberto Terente, Director of Education Programs at the Spanish Embassy, expressed his satisfaction regarding the high number of students taking Spanish courses, and a pledge of mutual support was given.

Potential collaborations between universities were discussed

Subsequently, cultural similarities between Spain and Turkey, potential projects, research, training, and Erasmus Mobility between universities were discussed, and it was stated that projects could be signed through various meetings.
