The academic, expert, and administrative staff of Üsküdar University and NPİSTANBUL Hastanesi experienced the excitement of Eid beforehand.

President of Üsküdar University, Chairman of the Senior Management Board Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, Rector of Üsküdar University Prof. Nazife Güngör, TARHAN Foundation Board Member, NPİSTANBUL Hastanesi Senior Management Board Director of Healthcare Institutions Fırat Tarhan, Vice-Rectors Prof. Türker Tekin Ergüzel, Prof. Hikmet Koçak, along with Rector's Advisors, Deans, and Directors also participated in the online Eid greeting ceremony held via Zoom and YouTube.

Prof. Nevzat Tarhan: “Eids are very special times that remind us of our human values”

President of Üsküdar University, Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, stating that feelings of unity and togetherness keep the collective memory alive during Eid, said: “I sincerely wish a happy Eid to my esteemed professors and valuable colleagues. These exceptional Eid days, which we observe as a nation today, are very special times that keep our collective memory alive and remind us of our human values. Feelings of unity, togetherness, solidarity, and sharing are always present in our lives, but during Eids, these feelings are felt much more strongly. Eids are important opportunities to reinforce these values. The intensity of academic life, the pace of social life, and the techno-stress created by digitalization can sometimes exhaust all of us. During these processes, some ruptures and damages in emotional bonds can occur within families. Eids are an important opportunity to mend these grievances and to reunite around common values. We should make good use of Eids to leave behind past negativities with our loved ones and make a fresh start. On this occasion, with my most heartfelt feelings, I wish everyone a happy Eid and wish peace to you, your families, and all our students.”

Prof. Nazife Güngör: “I wish you a healthy, peaceful, and joyful Eid”

Rector of Üsküdar University Prof. Nazife Güngör wished for national and religious values to continue strengthening. Güngör said: “Yesterday, before Eid, we commemorated the anniversary of the March 18 Çanakkale Victory. Within this scope, a highly qualified theater play was staged by the Ministry of National Education. The play met the audience for the first time in the halls of the Presidential Complex. The hall was completely full at the program, which was also attended by our President and Minister of National Education. The audience followed the play with great emotional intensity. Truly impressive moments were experienced. I hope that this blessed Eid, which we will observe right after, will further strengthen our sense of social unity and togetherness, just like our national holidays. Because the geography we are in is going through sensitive and challenging processes. At this point, we see that the stronger our internal solidarity, unity, and togetherness, the more robust our resistance against external forces will be. On this occasion, I wish for both our national and religious values to continue strengthening, and I sincerely congratulate all our professors on Ramadan Eid. I wish all of you a healthy, peaceful, and joyful Eid. I also wish you beautiful and productive days after Eid. May our Eid be blessed.”

Fırat Tarhan: “I hope we reach many more Eids together”

TARHAN Foundation Board Member, NPİSTANBUL Hastanesi Senior Management Board Director of Healthcare Institutions Fırat Tarhan conveyed his Eid wishes. Tarhan said: “I wish everyone a blessed Eid. I hope we have a peaceful, healthy, and beautiful Eid. As you know, developments in our region have been quite sensitive and are being followed with concern recently. Our wish is for more peaceful and safer days to come as soon as possible for our country and the entire Islamic world. On this occasion, I wish everyone a blessed Eid once again.”

Prof. Hikmet Koçak: “Family visits make Eid even more meaningful”

Vice-Rector of Üsküdar University Prof. Hikmet Koçak stated that Eids strengthen family ties. Koçak said: “I also sincerely congratulate the Üsküdar University family on Ramadan Eid. This Eid, which follows Ramadan, carries a unique meaning among religious holidays. Because the month of Ramadan is a special period when an individual turns inward and performs a kind of self-reflection. Regardless of whether one fasts or not, everyone finds an opportunity to reflect on their own life and observe their surroundings more carefully. In this respect, Ramadan Eid is an important period that strengthens family ties, connects the past with the future, and builds bridges between generations. Especially family visits, the feeling of remembering and being remembered, make this Eid even more meaningful. On this occasion, I once again congratulate you on Ramadan Eid and wish you healthy, peaceful, and beautiful days.”

Prof. Türker Tekin Ergüzel: “We experience and keep alive the corporate culture together”

Vice-Rector of Üsküdar University Prof. Türker Tekin Ergüzel expressed his happiness that the Eid greeting tradition continues in the online environment. Ergüzel said: “One of the fundamental functions of fourth-generation universities is social contribution and sharing knowledge produced with society. The continuation of our Eid greeting tradition, which we have maintained face-to-face since our establishment, in an online environment today is extremely valuable as it demonstrates that our corporate culture is developing in harmony with this new generation university approach. I am very pleased to be a university with a healthy and holistic structure, developing together with all its stakeholders. We experience and keep alive this strong corporate culture together. I believe that we will continue this Eid greeting tradition, which we share with our university family, in our own families starting tomorrow. On this occasion, I sincerely congratulate our esteemed professors, colleagues, teams, students, and valuable parents on Eid.”

At the Eid greeting ceremony, where faculty deans, graduate school directors, and academic and administrative staff participated actively and spoke, family members shared their Eid wishes in a sincere atmosphere.
