Elif Murat, who graduated from Robert College and then earned a degree from Boğaziçi University's Department of Economics, became a university student for the second time to pursue her dreams. Murat chose Üsküdar Üniversitesi for this path.
“I Decided I Wanted to Do a Job That Could Benefit People”
Elif Murat, who was admitted to Üsküdar Üniversitesi's Associate Degree Program in Physiotherapy, stated: “I am a graduate of Boğaziçi University's Department of Economics. I am currently working in the public sector. I have now decided that I want to do something different, a job that I love, that will make me happier, and that will allow me to be more beneficial to people. Since I have a degree in economics, I don't have the opportunity to specialize in a particular field. The Covid-19 pandemic also served as a catalyst in guiding me towards this desire. I had a lot of free time. So, I decided to use my free time for this path I had long planned. I was undergoing physical therapy due to an ailment. I have also been exercising for a very long time. I was always interested in anatomy. When I realized I loved these fields, I thought, why not do something in this area? I also considered choosing a medical faculty, but I cannot change careers again and become a doctor right now because it requires a very long time. I am thinking of starting with an associate degree and then completing it with a bachelor's degree. I am currently working, and I couldn't make a radical change by directly quitting my job and starting a bachelor's degree. That's why I chose the evening education for the Associate Degree Program in Physiotherapy.”

I believe I will be able to get a lot of practical experience here. Additionally, I had the opportunity to visit the university during the preference and promotion period. The team that welcomed me here during the promotion period was very professional. Everything at Üsküdar Üniversitesi is very professional. It's also great that the entire team consists of students. This is a success for both the students here and the university. In such events, simply offering opportunities is not enough; organizing is also necessary. I really liked the organization and professionalism here. That's why I chose it.”
