A collaboration protocol in education was signed between Üsküdar University and Vatan Educational Institutions. During the meeting, which highlighted Üsküdar University's annual Science Idea Festival, information was also exchanged regarding various training programs that could be offered to parents and educators.

The meeting, held in the Senate Hall of Üsküdar University's Central Campus, was attended by Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, Üsküdar University Educational Institutions and Guidance Services Manager, Specialist Psychological Counselor Özgür Akoğlan, and Atilla Aktaş, General Manager of Vatan Educational Institutions.

Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör: "We need to encourage students to do projects"

Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör drew attention to the education provided by Üsküdar University. Güngör said: "The value of teachers is very high. Teachers' recommendations are always very important. We provide various training programs in our institution on topics such as psychological counseling and stress management. There are also participants from Azerbaijan in these training programs. Üsküdar's central location and established structure are a great advantage for us. Addiction is a serious problem today. I especially want to draw attention to technology, gambling, alcohol, and drug addictions. I believe that seminars and projects should be conducted on these topics. Furthermore, we can carry out studies in this area, especially during this period when epidemics are on the agenda for public health. I would also like to state that we have expert instructors in every field. I think we should encourage students to do projects at the Science Idea Festival. High school students attach great importance to project work and are excited about it. We have even witnessed students crying with joy after winning awards. This is truly gratifying."

Atilla Aktaş: "I believe the value of teachers in society is still high"

Atilla Aktaş, General Manager of Vatan Educational Institutions, emphasized the value of teachers in society. Aktaş stated: "Recently, we observe that parents need guidance regarding school selection, and we recommend institutions we trust. The purpose of the protocol is to enable teachers and institutions to work together. I believe the value of teachers in society is still high, so a teacher's recommendation is always very important. Our institutions conduct academic studies for parents, students, and teachers, and organize in-service training and seminars. I want to emphasize the importance of receiving support from universities in these training programs. Certification programs can be organized, and these activities can be carried out through our continuous education center. I would also like to state that we can support teachers who wish to pursue master's and doctoral degrees. Üsküdar's central location and the fact that it is not a 'building university' is an advantage for us."

Specialist Psychological Counselor Özgür Akoğlan: "We will host students at our institution"

Üsküdar University Educational Institutions and Guidance Services Manager, Specialist Psychological Counselor Özgür Akoğlan, emphasized the importance of the Science Idea Festival in his speech. Akoğlan stated: "The purpose of our meeting today is to discuss education and organize informative events. In this context, we signed a protocol. We will also host students at our institution. The Science Idea Festival is very important for us. This year, we will organize its 10th edition. We will give awards to our students within the scope of the festival..."

The meeting concluded with a photo session.
