Üsküdar University Accessible Life Club Visits Ata!

Operating under Üsküdar University's Health, Culture, and Sports Department, the Accessible Life Club visited Anıtkabir to draw attention to December 3rd, International Day of Persons with Disabilities. 27 students participated in the event, along with Alican Ak, Chairman of the Accessible Life Club Board, and Yasin Tutkun, Chairman of the Biodesign Club Board. Students, experiencing emotional moments during the visit, laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and then observed a 1-minute moment of silence. Afterwards, they signed the Anıtkabir Book of Honor and visited the Atatürk and the War of Independence Museum.

Alican Ak, Chairman of the Accessible Life Club Board, conveyed his feelings and thoughts in Atatürk's Special Book:

“Our Great Leader, Supreme Atatürk,

Today, as Turkish youth and children of our esteemed homeland which you entrusted to us, we are in your presence.

Our homeland which you entrusted to us;

Feeling the trust you placed in us always within, our sole aim is to advance on the path you opened.

Aware of our duties and responsibilities, we always strive to understand 'One Step Closer to Understanding Humanity,' which is our university's motto.

You taught us that we can overcome obstacles with unity and awareness. We, too, act with this sense of social responsibility, aware that there are no obstacles that cannot be overcome with education for our country to become more modern. On this challenging path, you are always our guide. Our course is your path.

May your soul rest in peace.

With Respect and Longing,” were the expressions used.

After the message in the memorial book, with preparations for their return, the Accessible Life Club students completed their Anıtkabir visit.
