The 17th-18th summit of the Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics (SBMT), held annually with the participation of researchers worldwide, will be held this year in Los Angeles, United States, between July 08-11, 2021, with the participation of Üsküdar University faculty members, showcasing their work and collaborations in the field of Neuroscience.

Researchers to present their work!

Researchers led by Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, who was also honored with the Golden Axon leadership award by SBMT in 2019, will present their work on electromagnetic fields and brain health at the summit.

Üsküdar University makes significant contributions to global developments!

Üsküdar University and its scientific and practical partner NPİSTANBUL Brain Hospital contribute significantly to developments in neuroscience with their laboratories, application and research centers working in therapeutic brain mapping and neurotechnology, their trained researchers, and pioneering scientific contributions.

Our researchers, bringing together scientists from neighboring disciplines such as neurology, psychiatry, engineering, biology, and psychology, and transforming their academic knowledge into scientific work, also conduct studies investigating the basic functions of the nervous system and changes occurring in disease states using brain imaging methods such as electroencephalogram, magnetic resonance imaging, and functional magnetic resonance imaging. Üsküdar University, particularly focused on uncovering neural biomarkers in various neuropsychiatric diseases and creating brain maps in healthy and diseased individuals, continues its work, grouped under computational psychiatry, with internationally collaborative artificial intelligence-focused studies.

Researchers at master's and doctoral levels are trained in neuroscience in Üsküdar.

Üsküdar University has research articles published in international peer-reviewed journals, including sixty within the scope of Web of Science (WOS), solely in the field of neuroscience, and has long-standing academic collaborations with research centers and brain research communities such as The Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics (SBMT), American Psychiatric Association (APA), International Brain Research Consortium (IBRC), EEG and Clinical Neuroscience Society (ECNS), and International Society For Neurofeedback & Research (ISNR).

Üsküdar University, which trains master's and doctoral level researchers in neuroscience in Turkey, continues its work with its researchers in cognitive neuroscience, clinical neuroscience, neurobiofeedback, neurotechnology, bioinformatics laboratories, and application and research centers.

Electromagnetic pollution, magnetic field exposure, and neuropsychiatric effects will be discussed…

Üsküdar University academics, who share their knowledge, research, and work in neuroscience with international researchers at conferences they attend annually, will now participate in the conference to be held in Los Angeles between July 08-11 with a research group led by Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, and will present electromagnetic pollution, magnetic field exposure, and their neuropsychiatric effects under the following headings.
