Üsküdar Üniversitesi has completed the first step of the audit process within the scope of its application to TURQUALITY, the branding program supported by the Ministry of Trade. Aiming to contribute to its international branding goal, Üsküdar Üniversitesi applied to the TURQUALITY program and, unlike classical service export supports, focuses on international branding efforts rather than merely increasing exports.
The PwC management consulting firm, accompanied by an observer from the Ministry of Trade, conducted a detailed inspection over two days, visiting campuses and units, including common areas used by students such as workspaces, laboratories, libraries, classrooms, and social areas. Furthermore, all units thoroughly informed the audit committee on various subjects, from the university's strategic plan and brand values to operational activities and financial data, through their presentations.
Regarding the Transgenic Cell Technologies and Epigenetics Application and Research Center (TRGENMER) and the Stem Cell Studies Application and Research Center (ÜSKÖKMER), Lecturer Dr. Cihan Taştan and Prof. Dr. Sevim Işık provided information to the PwC management consulting firm, detailing the work being carried out. During the inspection of the Forensic Sciences Laboratories, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy accompanied the company officials and explained the work conducted in the laboratories. Information was also provided on the Research and Development (R&D) activities and the projects undertaken by the university.

What is TURQUALITY?
TURQUALITY, the first and only state-supported branding program affiliated with the Ministry of Trade, aims to enable companies with branding potential in product and service groups to become global players in international markets and establish a positive 'Made in Turkey' image. It achieves this by fostering managerial expertise, institutionalization, and development across all their processes, from production to marketing, sales, and after-sales services.
