The scientific textbook 'Pathology from the Perspective of Ergotherapy,' authored by Prof. Dr. İbrahim Öztek, Head of the Department of Medical Pathology at Üsküdar Üniversitesi, and Prof. Dr. Sevda Asqarova, a faculty member of the Ergotherapy Department, has met with book enthusiasts.
Prof. Dr. İbrahim Öztek, Head of the Department of Medical Pathology at Üsküdar Üniversitesi, has released his second scientific textbook, "Pathology from the Perspective of Ergotherapy," to book enthusiasts.
Prof. Dr. İbrahim Öztek, Head of the Department of Medical Pathology at Üsküdar Üniversitesi, has also published his second scientific textbook. His first book, “Basic Principles in Cytology,” focused on the principle of identifying cancer from individual cells, while his new book, “Pathology from the Perspective of Ergotherapy,” addresses the causes, processes, and treatments of diseases affecting all three structures that constitute a human: body, mind, and spirit. Öztek authored this book together with Prof. Dr. Sevda Askarova, Head of the Ergotherapy Department. Öztek, a respected figure in the fields of culture and science as much as in the sports world, has approximately 25 published sports and cultural books, has written chapters in 5 scientific books (one of which is in America), and has over 350 scientific studies and researches, most of which are award-winning, in addition to 10 TÜBİTAK incentive awards.
Öztek, who began his scientific career anew at Üsküdar Üniversitesi 25 years after retiring from Gülhane Military Medical Academy and continuing his pathology studies independently, stated: "Knowledge has neither age nor end; a person rejuvenates as they produce, feels alive as they serve science, and understands the great services they render to humanity as they educate medical students and doctors. My biggest supporter in producing medical works is our esteemed Rector, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan. I create the work, our university publishes it, and makes it available to our students. No benefit other than scientific pleasure is derived from this. In the coming days, our third and fourth books on Medical Pathology will also be made available to our students in Turkish and English."
Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Rector of Üsküdar Üniversitesi, stated, "Our esteemed Professor İbrahim Öztek holds the title of 'teacher of teachers.' With his scientific works and energy, he constantly sets an example for our young faculty members. He makes endless efforts for our students to be educated above world standards. We have always appreciated him." Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Zelka and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Haydar Sur also commented, "Our Professor İbrahim is a source of energy for all of us and a symbol of all of us staying young." Dean of Dentistry Prof. Dr. Yumuşhan Günay and other faculty members expressed their appreciation, celebrated the book's publication by cutting a cake together, and received their signed copies.
