Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Medicine's first textbook, “Basic Principles in Cytology,” has met its readers.
The book “Basic Principles in Cytology,” penned by Prof. Dr. İbrahim Öztek, Head of the Medical Pathology Department at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Medicine, has met its readers. Published by Üsküdar Üniversitesi Publications, the book holds the distinction of being the first textbook of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Medicine.
“It is an honor for me to write the first book of our university”
Sharing his thoughts and feelings about the book, Prof. Dr. Öztek stated; “I had the privilege of writing the first textbook for our Faculty of Medicine and our university. This is an honor for me. If I had not served at this faculty of medicine, if I had not been given this opportunity, it might not have been possible for me to produce such a work. I will continue to write textbooks rapidly in the coming processes. I extend my endless gratitude to my esteemed mentor, Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, for providing me with this opportunity. This book has become the first textbook of our university. Therefore, I am proud both on my own behalf and on behalf of our university.”
A mini-ceremony was held at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Medicine for the introduction of the textbook “Basic Principles in Cytology.” Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan and Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Haydar Sur, who attended the ceremony, congratulated Prof. Dr. Öztek and wished him continued success.
During the program, Prof. Dr. Öztek presented signed copies of the textbook to the participants. A cake was also cut at the ceremony for Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Medicine’s first textbook. The ceremony concluded after a commemorative photo session.
