The success of Üsküdar Üniversitesi, which prioritizes R&D efforts, was also registered with a share from Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank. Varank stated in his announcement that according to TÜRKPATENT's statistics for the first 6 months of 2022, 14 universities were among the top 50 institutions applying for patents, and 333 patent and utility model applications were made by universities.
