Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan: “I believe there are many areas where we can cooperate”
Üsküdar University Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, who delivered the opening speech, said; “We have established several centers in the field of neuropsychiatry with the support of our NPİSTANBUL Hospital. These centers primarily focus on personalized treatment. The first pillar is drug blood levels that perform therapeutic drug monitoring. Meanwhile, we perform preliminary diagnosis of genetic polymorphism. The second is the pharmacogenetics laboratory. In this laboratory, we conduct pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies of drugs. We routinely apply these studies to our patients. We also have neuromodulation therapies. Furthermore, we are starting stem cell treatments for autistic individuals. For these reasons, I believe there are many areas where we can cooperate.”
