Üsküdar Mayor Av. Hilmi Türkmen, who suddenly came to Turkey's agenda with his natural gas bill support for university students, was visited by Üsküdar Üniversitesi students. Üsküdar students, led by the council, thanked Mayor Hilmi Türkmen on behalf of all students for his support. The students also presented Mayor Türkmen with a set of books by Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan.
The good news announced by Üsküdar Mayor Av. Hilmi Türkmen that the natural gas bills for December, January, February, and March for university students residing in the district would be covered by the municipality was met with appreciation from all over Turkey, especially in Üsküdar. The Mayoral office has initiated its support in this area.
Following Turkey's widely appreciated initiative, the president, members, and accompanying students of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Student Council visited Mayor Türkmen at his office. Üsküdar Üniversitesi Secretary General Selçuk Uysaler also accompanied the visit.
The students thanked the mayor and his delegation for the natural gas support and all the efforts made for the students.
New Good News from the Mayor!
Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen stated that this service provided to students was highly appreciated and well-received. Expressing his satisfaction with the visit from Üsküdar Üniversitesi students, Türkmen made the following remarks: “Our natural gas bill project was also well-received and garnered much appreciation. In Üsküdar, we carry out many aid projects for the elderly, disabled, and those in need. We said, let's do something for the students as well. Üsküdar is a student city. Natural gas bills are high for students. We wanted to provide support. Residence certificate, student certificate, and the bill are sufficient for this. All students can apply. In addition to these, we have another piece of good news for the youth. We are opening two more Nevmekân locations.”
Üsküdar Üniversitesi students then visited the newly opened library within the municipality, led by Üsküdar Municipality Deputy Mayor Zekeriya Şanlıer. The students subsequently toured the Atölye Üsküdar Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center.
Following the tour, Üsküdar Üniversitesi students presented Mayor Av. Hilmi Türkmen with a set of books by Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, which they had brought with them.
Türkmen also presented gifts to the students. The visit concluded with a group commemorative photo.
