Üsküdar University has deepened its international relations by strengthening its contacts in Azerbaijan. The delegation, accompanied by Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör, visited Baku State University (BSU), one of the oldest and most established universities in Azerbaijan. Prof. Gökben Hızlı Sayar, Rector’s Advisor and faculty member at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, delivered a seminar titled “Attachment Theory and Interpersonal Psychotherapy.”
The visit was attended by Prof. Gökben Hızlı Sayar, Rector’s Advisor; Dilber Aliyeva Göksu, International Relations Manager of Üsküdar University; and Könül Hümbetova, Representative of the Azerbaijan Office.
As part of the visit, comprehensive meetings were held with the Head of the Psychology Department of BSU, deans, and the administrative board. During the meetings, important steps were taken to strengthen inter-university cooperation and to develop joint academic projects.
Prof. Gökben Hızlı Sayar’s seminar attracted great interest
Prof. Gökben Hızlı Sayar delivered a seminar titled “Attachment Theory and Interpersonal Psychotherapy” to the faculty members and students of the Faculty of Psychology at Baku State University. While providing in-depth information on the topic, Hızlı Sayar enriched her presentation by sharing examples from her own life.
In this context, the seminar was held in an interactive question-and-answer format and received great interest from the participants.
Üsküdar Psychology is recognized worldwide!
As one of the signature departments of the university, Üsküdar University’s Department of Psychology is recognized not only in Türkiye but also worldwide. The university’s strong academic infrastructure in psychology and its international collaborations reflect an approach that aims for excellence in education.
The visit played an important role in strengthening institutional relations between Üsküdar University and Baku State University. Academic interactions are of great value in enhancing the quality of education and promoting knowledge exchange between universities.
