Training was received in four different clinical branches

As part of the summer school program, students received training in the clinics of Chest Diseases, Thoracic Surgery, Cardiology, and Cardiovascular Surgery.
During the internship, patient evaluation and follow-up processes, diagnostic approaches, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making processes were closely observed by the students. Students also had the opportunity to examine surgical and interventional procedures in the relevant branches, thereby reinforcing the theoretical knowledge they gained during their faculty education in a clinical setting.

They found the opportunity to gain a multidisciplinary perspective in complementary branches

Especially, receiving training in complementary specialties such as Chest Diseases-Thoracic Surgery and Cardiology-Cardiovascular Surgery contributed to students observing the relationship between different specialties in patient evaluation.
This process allowed students to approach clinical cases from a broader perspective and to gain experience in the joint evaluation of different specialties.

International Medical Education Experience in Baku

Internships conducted at Azerbaijan Medical University provided students with international academic and cultural experience in addition to clinical training.
Students, who had the opportunity to observe the functioning of a different healthcare system, were able to closely learn about medical practices in Azerbaijan, communicate with different healthcare professionals, and evaluate different approaches to clinical processes.

This experience in an international environment contributed to students recognizing different healthcare systems and broadening their professional perspectives.
