Double Scientific Success for Üsküdar Medical Student Mahnoush Khalilian in the International Arena

Mahnoush Khalilian, a 4th-year student at Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine, achieved significant academic success as her two distinct scientific studies – prepared in collaboration with international research groups, focusing on AI-powered wearable biosensors and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in women's health – were featured in international peer-reviewed journals and global conferences. The young aspiring physician crowned her medical education with a disciplined R&D vision, successfully representing Türkiye and Üsküdar University in the international scientific arena.

Üsküdar University students, who successfully maintain an R&D and scientific research culture alongside theoretical medical education, continue to contribute to global scientific studies. 

In this context, Mahnoush Khalilian, a 4th-year student at the Faculty of Medicine, achieved success by having two significant studies, prepared in collaboration with international research groups, featured on esteemed publication and congress platforms.

Medicine, Artificial Intelligence, and Health Technologies Come Together

The first study Khalilian participated in is titled “Wearable Biosensors and Artificial Intelligence for Personalized Health Monitoring”.

The research prepared by Mahnaz Kayyal, Mahnoush Khalilian, Leyla Nazarpoor Akbari, Mohammadmehdi Salehi, Ali Shahbazi, and Kamyar Shafiei addresses the role of wearable biosensors, data analytics, and artificial intelligence in personalized health monitoring.

The study, shedding light on future medical and health technologies, was published in the 4th Volume, 1st Issue of the international peer-reviewed International Journal of New Findings in Health and Educational Sciences (IJHES) in 2026. (DOI: 10.63053/ijhes.214)

Also Presented Orally at the International Conference in Istanbul…

The same study was also accepted and presented as an Oral Presentation within the scope of the “2nd International Conference on Novel Research in Medical Sciences, Health and Healthcare” held in Istanbul, earning the right to be published in the conference proceedings book.

Second Research Focuses on Women’s Health and Metabolic Processes

The second scientific study Mahnoush Khalilian participated in focuses on the field of women's health.

The research titled “Hormonal and Metabolic Profiles in Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome,” conducted by Fatemeh Beiranvand, Leyla Nazarpoor Akbari, Somayeh Soltanmoradi, Mahnoush Khalilian, Sara Baghaei, and Kamyar Shafiei, aims for an in-depth evaluation of hormonal and metabolic profiles in women diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).

Aims to be Presented at the International Conference in Paris

The study, which successfully completed the peer review process, was accepted into the “17th International Conference on Obstetrics, Infertility and Mental Health” program. The research is planned to be presented at the international conference to be held on October 16, 2026, in Paris, France, and published in the congress proceedings book.

Contribution to the World of Science from Future Physicians

Mahnoush Khalilian, while focusing on advanced health technologies such as artificial intelligence and wearable biosensors on one hand, and conducting research in women's health and metabolic diseases on the other, provides a concrete example of an interdisciplinary approach and early-stage research culture in medical education.
