Discussions Held on Developing Solutions for Dormitory Issues
Üsküdar District Governor Âdem Yazıcı visited Üsküdar Üniversitesi Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör to meet her and congratulate her on her new position.
Güngör and Yazıcı discussed potential projects that Üsküdar Üniversitesi, which has campuses in many parts of the district, could contribute to the development of the district. Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, the new rector of Üsküdar Üniversitesi, which has brought its campuses to various points of Üsküdar since 2011 and takes its name from the district, stated that they are increasing Üsküdar's youth potential with approximately 24,000 students, saying, “We attach great importance to participating in joint social responsibility projects with the university administration and our vibrant students, contributing to district development, and especially acting together with the district governorship in scientific, cultural, and social activities. We instill this approach in every student who registers at the university by embracing our district.”
Güngör and Yazıcı, who also evaluated the general situation regarding student dormitories in Üsküdar, exchanged views on developing solutions for Üsküdar Üniversitesi students' dormitory problems in cooperation with the district governorship.
Collaboration Planned for Medium and Long-Term Initiatives
During the meeting, the issue of Üsküdar university students' priority access to public social facilities in the district was also raised, and information was shared about the ongoing work by the district governorship.
