Üsküdar crowned its quality-focused journey with YÖKAK Institutional Accreditation

Üsküdar University has once again demonstrated its commitment to quality assurance in higher education by successfully undergoing a comprehensive evaluation process within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP), conducted by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK). With this achievement, Üsküdar University strongly affirmed its vision for sustainable quality and continuous development in higher education. 

Steady progress in the quality journey…

Üsküdar University's quality assurance in the areas of education-training, research-development, and management system was first thoroughly examined by the Institutional External Evaluation Team between December 23-26, 2018. In line with the positive feedback obtained during this process, the University adopted a continuous improvement approach by placing quality at the center of its institutional culture.

This development process was continued with a follow-up evaluation conducted on October 4, 2021, and the quality-oriented transformation was steadfastly maintained.

Üsküdar University, positioning quality as a strategic priority, once again demonstrated its commitment in this area by applying to the Institutional Accreditation Program in 2025.

Within the scope of the process, an online preliminary visit was conducted on November 12, 2025, while all academic and administrative processes of the university were comprehensively evaluated with on-site observations during the field visit held between November 24-27, 2025.

The evaluation process, conducted under the coordination of the Quality Directorate, also revealed that Üsküdar University's quality assurance systems are embraced not only as a requirement but also as a fundamental element of sustainable development.

The high motivation, strong collaboration, and dedicated work of the academic and administrative units were among the most concrete indicators of Üsküdar University's quality-oriented management approach.

The Institutional Accreditation Program process has been an important indicator of the efforts carried out towards this goal.
