Lecturers from Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication received awards in two different categories at the Greenest of the Green Awards Ceremony. This year marked the 4th edition of the Greenest of the Green Awards Ceremony, organized by the General Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. The awards, presented to individuals and organizations demonstrating outstanding service and contributions to Turkish forestry, found their recipients at Üsküdar Üniversitesi. Lecturer Gökhan Gültekin Karakaş from Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication, New Media and Communication Department, received the 'Most Environmentalist Journalist' award, while Lecturer Kemal Öztürk received the 'Most Special News' award.

Many institutional officials, including Bekir Karacabey, General Director of Agriculture and Forestry; Prof. Dr. Yunus Kılıç, Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Affairs Commission; Prof. Dr. Şükrü Karatepe, Chairman of the Presidential Local Government Policies Board; and Viorel Gutu, FAO Sub-regional Coordinator for Central Asia and Representative in Turkey, attended the award ceremony held at the General Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry Conference Hall.
A total of 33 individuals received awards in various categories such as 'Most Industrial Afforestation,' 'Most Forest Regeneration,' 'Most Dedicated,' and 'Most Heroic.'
Lecturer Kemal Öztürk from Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication, New Media and Communication Department, who was deemed worthy of the 'Most Special News' award for his support to forestry through his column work, expressed his gratitude, saying, 'Whatever we do for our forests is not enough, may our students follow in our footsteps.'
Lecturer Gökhan Gültekin Karakaş from the New Media and Communication Department, who was deemed worthy of the 'Most Environmentalist Journalist' award for highlighting the negative effects of forest fires and producing environmentally conscious news, also conveyed his thanks.
