Once again this year, students from Üsküdar University’s Faculty of Communication have achieved significant success in the “TRT Communicators of the Future Competition.” In the contest, where preliminary evaluation committees selected the top 10 projects in each category, Üsküdar Communication students qualified for the finals with 5 projects across 2 categories.

Üsküdar University’s Faculty of Communication students made their mark in the 10th edition of the competition, organized by TRT this year.
5 projects in 2 categories…
Üsküdar Communication students advanced to the finals with five projects prepared in the “Online Journalism” and “Digital Content Management” categories, successfully passing the preliminary evaluation stage. The finalist projects stood out for both their content and their creative approaches.
In the Online Journalism category:
Meryem Aydın from the Department of Journalism with the project “Instagram Falından Panel Çıktı” (“A Panel was behind the Instagram Fortune-Telling”).
In the Digital Content Management category:
Merve Kelpeten and Melike Yıldız Çölcü from the Department of New Media and Communication with the project “M2Medya.”
Dilara Daruva, Beyza İnan, and Beyza Özdemir from the Department of New Media and Communication with the project “Siber Okur” (“Cyber Reader”).
Sude Lermioğlu from the Department of Journalism with the project “Trabzon’da Kadın Olmak” (“Being a Woman in Trabzon”).
Zeynep Sarı, Taha Demirci, and Bahar Mutaf from the Department of Advertising with the project “Bir Çocuk Sordu” (“A Child Asked”).
Awards to be presented live on TRT
The students whose projects qualified for the finals after the preliminary evaluations will be hosted by TRT during the “Communicators of the Future Week,” which will take place from October 9–14, 2025.
At the final, the first-place winner in each category will be awarded 100,000 TL, the second-place winner 75,000 TL, and the third-place winner 50,000 TL. In addition, one project will receive the TRT Special Award.
Students who place in the final will receive their awards during a ceremony broadcast live on TRT screens.
