In collaboration with Üsküdar University's Human Resources Department and the Software Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, a comprehensive artificial intelligence training program was conducted for academic staff, following the administrative staff, in line with the digital transformation vision. The training program, which aimed to increase artificial intelligence literacy, covered the basic concepts of artificial intelligence, its applications in academic studies, and generative artificial intelligence tools. Applied workshop sessions focused on visualization, data analysis, and interpretation.

Üsküdar University attaches importance to artificial intelligence technologies and training. 

In this context, following the successful training conducted with the participation of administrative staff in previous months, an artificial intelligence training program was now held with the participation of academic staff. The 2-day training was completed at Üsküdar University South Campus Duha Beker Conference Hall.

Academicians met with artificial intelligence applications

The training comprehensively addressed how artificial intelligence technologies can be effectively utilized in academic processes. Additionally, the contributions that generative artificial intelligence tools can provide to education, research, and scientific production processes were conveyed to participants through practical examples.

Application areas of artificial intelligence in academic studies were explained

In the presentation section of the training, Asst. Prof. Mehmet Kaan İldiz from the Software Engineering Department and Üsküdar University Head of Information Technologies Department Murat Gülşen made evaluations regarding the application areas of artificial intelligence in higher education. Participants were informed on data management in academic research, scientific content production, supporting educational processes, and corporate digitalization.

Practical training was conducted in workshops

In the practical workshops organized within the program, text, visual, video, and productivity-focused artificial intelligence tools were introduced. Effective usage methods of various artificial intelligence applications, especially prompt engineering with ChatGPT, were demonstrated practically. The workshops included sample applications focusing particularly on visualization, data analysis, and interpretation of results.

The training contributed to the digital transformation vision

The training program, completed with the active participation of attendees, aimed to support academic staff in utilizing artificial intelligence technologies more effectively in education, research, and scientific production processes. Üsküdar University continues to enhance the technological competencies of both academic and administrative staff and strengthen AI-focused institutional transformation through such training programs organized in line with its digital transformation vision.
