The Interactive Psychiatry Education Congress started in Antalya. The congress, held with the main theme of ‘Current Approaches in Psychiatry and Rational Drug Treatments’, was attended by Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Prof. Dr. Sermin Kesebir, and Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Erkmen.

At the congress held between March 24-27 at Antalya Akra-Barut Hotel; difficult situations encountered or likely to be encountered in daily practice, current and innovative treatments in psychopharmacological and psychodynamic fields in 2022, new discoveries and challenging cases in treatment, and interesting topics in psychiatry are being discussed.
In the panels conducted with interactive participation, experts in their fields are sharing their knowledge and experiences.

With panels featuring both courses and cognitive-behavioral approaches, as well as the use of metaphors, approaches that every psychiatrist can use in daily practice are being discussed, rather than lengthy and theoretical textbook explanations.
In this context, experts from Üsküdar Üniversitesi and NPİSTANBUL Brain Hospital also took part in the congress.
In the panel on Current-Rational Treatment Approaches in the Treatment of Depression and Bipolar Disorders in 2022, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan explained ‘Deltha Burst’ treatment, a new approach to depression treatment.
Tarhan, in addition to theoretical explanations, talked about methods used in daily practice and those that can be used in the future.

In the panel also attended by psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Sermin Kesebir from NPİSTANBUL Brain Hospital, Kesebir made a presentation titled ‘Holistic approach in bipolar disorder treatment’. She shared insights into the rationales for adding certain drugs used in general medicine to treatment, and digital monitoring methods that psychiatrists can easily apply using tools like mobile phones.
At the congress, psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Erkmen from Üsküdar Üniversitesi NPİSTANBUL Brain Hospital also took part in the panel on interesting topics in psychiatry.
