A meeting was held between Üsküdar Üniversitesi and Mevlâna Development Agency (MEVKA-Konya). During the meeting, young entrepreneurship, social innovation, and university-agency collaborations were discussed. In the discussion where steps to be taken for young entrepreneurs' innovative ideas to transform into social benefit were talked about, the “Human 7.0 from Mevlâna's Perspective” project, for which Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan undertook the academic consultancy, was also brought up. At the end of the meeting, Tarhan’s works were presented to the participants.
Dr. Nebiye Yaşar, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Social Contribution Coordinator and Young Brains Academy Director, and Dr. Ayhan Özşahin, Head of the Family Medicine Department at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Medicine, along with young entrepreneurs Melisa Gül and İclal Elif Erdoğan, attended the meeting. As hosts, MEVKA Secretary General Dr. İhsan Bostancı, Head of Social Development and Entrepreneurship Unit Fuat Karagüney, and Specialist Mustafa Dinç also participated in the meeting.
Supporting Young Entrepreneurs Discussed
During the discussion, the support for young ventures and the social entrepreneurship ecosystem, the international dissemination of social innovation model projects, and university-agency collaborations were discussed. Particularly, the steps to be taken for young people's innovative ideas to turn into social benefit were evaluated within the framework of a regional development vision.
Human 7.0 from Mevlâna's Perspective Project Highlighted
Also discussed at the meeting was the “Human 7.0 from Mevlâna's Perspective” project, for which Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan will serve as academic consultant. It was stated that the project reinterprets human transformation in the digital age, ethical values, and human dignity from a wisdom perspective. Participants also said that this project would create a strong foundation for pioneering collaborations at both regional and national levels.
