A meeting was held between Üsküdar University and the Mevlâna Development Agency (MEVKA–Konya). The meeting addressed youth entrepreneurship, social innovation, and collaborations between universities and the agency. Steps to transform young entrepreneurs’ innovative ideas into social benefit were discussed, and the project “Human 7.0 from the Perspective of Mevlâna”, for which President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan serves as academic advisor, was also brought to the agenda. At the end of the meeting, Prof. Tarhan’s works were presented to the participants.

Üsküdar and MEVKA discussed the social innovation ecosystem

The meeting was attended by Üsküdar University Social Contribution Coordinator and Director of the Young Minds Academy Asst. Prof. Nebiye Yaşar, Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine, Head of the Department of Family Medicine Asst. Prof. Ayhan Özşahin, as well as young entrepreneurs Melisa Gül and İclal Elif Erdoğan. Representing MEVKA as hosts were Secretary General Dr. İhsan Bostancı, Head of the Department of Social Development and Entrepreneurship Fuat Karagüney, and Specialist Mustafa Dinç.

Supporting young entrepreneurs put on the agenda
The discussions focused on supporting youth initiatives and the social entrepreneurship ecosystem, expanding social innovation model projects on an international scale, and strengthening collaborations between universities and the agency. Particular emphasis was placed on steps to be taken to transform young people’s innovative ideas into social benefit, evaluated within the framework of regional development vision.
Spotlight on the “Human 7.0 from the Perspective of Mevlâna” Project
The meeting also included discussions on the “Human 7.0 from the Perspective of Mevlâna” project, for which Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, President of Üsküdar University, will serve as academic advisor. It was noted that the project reinterprets human transformation in the digital age, ethical values, and human dignity through the perspective of wisdom. Participants highlighted that this project would provide a strong foundation for pioneering collaborations both at the regional and national levels.
