An event titled “Understanding the Republic Before and After, in its 100th Year” was held by Üsküdar University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The event, organized under the leadership of Dr. Lecturer Kazım Dalkıran from the Department of History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, highlighted important points in the process of the declaration of the Republic.

The event, held under the title “Understanding the Republic Before and After, in its 100th Year”, took place at Üsküdar University Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall.
Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Üsküdar University, also attended the event, which saw strong interest from participants.

In the event, which was conducted with a multidisciplinary and chronological approach, Dr. Lecturer Kazım Dalkıran from the Department of History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, drew attention to Republic practices in history, comparisons between absolutism and Republic practices, and an evaluation of faith and the Republic's administrative system.
Chronological Events in History Evaluated
Dalkıran emphasized the declaration of the Constitutional Monarchy during the Ottoman Empire period before the proclamation of the Republic of Turkey and the dethronement of Abdul Hamid II after the declaration of the Second Constitutional Monarchy, and made evaluations about the subsequent developments, the Balkan Wars, World War I, and the events during the War of Independence.
Countries Acting with the Family of Turkic States Can Provide Significant Gains for the World
Dr. Lecturer Kazım Dalkıran, speaking about the process of the declaration of the Republic, which opened a new chapter in Turkish history, stated that countries with shared values that act together with the family of Turkic States, which have shown significant developments recently, especially in the Defense Industry and other fields, can provide important gains for the world.
