Ukrainian and Turkish Universities Bring Together Young Historian Academics

The History Department of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, in cooperation with RİNAP and Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatyuk National Pedagogical University, organized the II. National Young Academics Conference. The event, held with the theme 'Current Issues in History Science and Education in the Works of Young Researchers,' opened up a discussion on current matters in history science. 

The organizing committee of the conference included Prof. Dr. Iryna Zadorozhna and Prof. Dr. Ella Bystrytska from Ternopil University, as well as Prof. Dr. İlham Miraç, a board member of RİNAP from Üsküdar Üniversitesi.

The opening speeches were delivered by Dr. Lect. Erhan Bektaş, Head of the History Department at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Prof. Dr. İlham Miraç. Dr. Erhan Bektaş emphasized the importance of international academic cooperation, stating that such events not only foster knowledge sharing but also support friendships between countries and the academic development of young researchers.

Üsküdar Üniversitesi students' projects drew attention at the conference

Merve Nur Othman presented her study titled 'Mapping the Routes of English Travelers to the Ottoman Empire in the 16th Century,' which she prepared with her advisor Dr. Lect. Uygar Aydemir, within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2209-A project.

Yağız Baştürk introduced his project 'Digital Mapping of Naqshbandi and Khalidiyya Dervish Lodges,' conducted under the supervision of Lect. Fatma Aladağ. He also mentioned his project 'Bediüzzaman Said Nursi Digital Biography,' supervised by Prof. Dr. İlham Miraç.

The conference offered young researchers the opportunity to share their academic output on an international platform. The joint organization of the event by countries rich in historical heritage like Ukraine and Turkey contributed to strengthening academic ties and increasing cultural solidarity.

The event became a meeting point where innovative ideas in history science and education were presented. Participants exchanged ideas on future cooperation projects and new research topics.

This significant event solidified academic and cultural ties while offering an inspiring atmosphere for young researchers. The conference concluded with hopes of meeting at future events.
