The Prof. Dr. Hilmi Sabuncu Occupational Health and Safety Laboratory and Training Field, inaugurated in 2019 at the Üsküdar Çarşı Campus with the participation of Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, then Minister of Family, Labour and Social Services, is being updated with the latest artificial intelligence-supported technology. The laboratory, which holds the distinction of being Turkey's first Occupational Health and Safety Laboratory, expands the practical training areas for Occupational Health and Safety students. The laboratory was visited by Üsküdar University Founding Rector and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, and Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör.

Theoretical knowledge turns into practice…
Dr. Rüştü Uçan, Head of the Occupational Health and Safety Department at Üsküdar University Faculty of Health Sciences, said; “Our students see the topics we teach in class here in practice, making the lesson more meaningful. We will create a practical area for teaching here. At the same time, we will also provide training from the continuous education center. Outside, we have fields for working at height and fire-related training. We will teach students very effectively in both our outdoor and indoor fields.”
