The International Conference on Modern Trends in Human and Social Sciences, to be organized in partnership with Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan, will take place this year from July 6-8, 2021. Üsküdar University is also among the organizers of the event, and its main theme has been determined as “Modern Trends in Human and Social Sciences in the Context of COVID-19 Scenarios”.
The organizing committee of the conference, which will be held in cooperation with Üsküdar University Turkish World Philosophy Research and Application Center (TÜFAM), Baku Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Azerbaijan Institute of Theology, Academic Research and Policy Development Foundation (ARPDF) Islamabad Pakistan, University of Engineering and Technology Texila, and University of Engineering and Technology Texila, includes; Dr. Habib M. S., Chief Executive of Academic Research and Policy Development Foundation, Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Konal Y.Bunyadzade from Azerbaijan, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Özdemir from Üsküdar University, Dr. Syed Abdul Rehman Shah from University of Engineering and Technology, and Zainab Moin Fatima from Fatima Jinnah Women University.
“We will open doors to new initiatives and partnerships”
Prof. Dr. İbrahim Özdemir, Member of the Organizing Committee and Head of the Philosophy Department at Üsküdar University, highlighted the following points in his statement on the matter:
“COVID-19 has once again shown us how interconnected we are. A virus emerging in one village, city, or country can threaten all our lives. In the past year, the number of deaths caused by this virus worldwide has already exceeded 3 million. In a globalized world, nothing can remain local. A virus that emerged in Wuhan, China, continues to threaten the entire world. It is very important for academics from three sister countries to come together to understand and find solutions for both these infectious diseases and other social, economic, political, and environmental problems. We will discuss what we can do together regarding the problems that threaten us and humanity today. We will open doors to new initiatives and partnerships. We will think together about our future. It is a humble, but equally important step.”
