Health departments stand out in TÜİK employment indicators…

Higher Education Employment Indicators for 2021 were announced by TÜİK. While Health and Welfare became the bachelor's degree field with the highest employment rate, the Child Development department ranked among the top ten departments with 94.3%. On the other hand, the bachelor's degree program with the shortest time to find a first job stands out as Speech and Language Therapy.

Health and welfare is the bachelor's degree field with the highest employment rate 

According to the 2021 TÜİK Higher Education Employment Indicators; considering bachelor's degree fields, the top five education and training fields with the highest registered employment rates were; health and welfare (82.7%), education (77.8%), engineering, manufacturing and construction (77.8%), information and communication technologies (76.7%), and natural sciences, mathematics and statistics (72.3%).

Child Development department ranks among the top ten departments with 94.3%

According to the data announced by TÜİK, the Child Development department is among the departments with the highest registered employment at the undergraduate level. With 94.3%, the Child Development department ranks among the top ten departments. Üsküdar University continues to contribute to its students with Child Development programs within its Faculty of Health Sciences and Vocational School of Health Services in this context.

One of the associate degree fields with the highest employment rate is engineering with 71.3%

Considering associate degree fields, engineering ranks first among the top five education and training fields with the highest registered employment rate, at 71.3%. Within the scope of Üsküdar University's Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, programs include Forensic Sciences (Turkish), Computer Engineering (English), Bioengineering (English), Electrical-Electronics Engineering (English), Industrial Engineering (English), Chemical Engineering (English), Molecular Biology and Genetics (English), Molecular Biology and Genetics (Turkish), and Software Engineering (English).

Health and welfare is the bachelor's degree field with the shortest time to find a first job, at 7.7 months

While the average time to find a job for bachelor's degree graduates was 13.6 months, this period was calculated as 14.8 months for associate degree graduates. The bachelor's degree field with the shortest time to find a first job was health and welfare, at 7.7 months.

Üsküdar University's Faculty of Health Sciences, with its 13 departments, and Üsküdar University's Vocational School of Health Services, with its 37 departments, continue their educational activities to meet the country's workforce needs in the healthcare sector.

Considering bachelor's degree fields, the top five education and training fields with the shortest time to find a first job were; health and welfare (7.7 months), education (10.9 months), engineering, manufacturing and construction (11.0 months), information and communication technologies (11.6 months), and services (12.4 months).

Speech and Language Therapy is the bachelor's degree program with the shortest time to find a first job

The bachelor's degree program with the shortest time to find a first job was Speech and Language Therapy. The five departments with the shortest average time to find a first job after graduation for bachelor's degree graduates were; Speech and Language Therapy (2.4 months), Security Sciences (3.0 months), Teaching the Visually Impaired (3.4 months), Teaching the Mentally Impaired (3.7 months), and Teaching the Hearing Impaired (3.8 months). In Üsküdar University's Faculty of Health Sciences, the Speech and Language Therapy bachelor's program provides systematic education aimed at equipping students with professional knowledge and skills.
