TRGENMER's 5 new projects further supported by TÜBİTAK…

Students from Üsküdar University's Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, have achieved another success. Within the scope of the '2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program' conducted by TÜBİTAK Directorate of Scientist Support Programs (BİDEB), 5 more projects from Üsküdar University's TRGENMER team, focusing on 'Cancer and Fanzor Gene Engineering,' have qualified for support.

5 more new projects to be supported

Within the scope of the '2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program,' 5 more projects from the TRGENMER team, focusing on 'Cancer and Fanzor Gene Engineering,' will be supported.

Among the projects carried out under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Cihan Taştan;

- The project titled 'Transcriptome Analysis in Cells with ALYREF and PIN1 Gene Knock-Out using CRISPR-Cas9 Method and in Leukocytes Isolated from SLE Patients,' led by Esma Özcanan, qualified for support. Ceren Yıldırım, Onur Mert Ünaldı, and Aysena Nurgaz were among the researchers of the project.

- The project titled 'Investigation of Cancer Resistance by Deleting Tumor-Related p53, HSPA8, and PD1 Genes in Primary Human T Cell Line with Fanzor, an Eukaryotic Programmable RNA-Guided Endonuclease,' led by Elif Yaren Öztop, also qualified for support. Selin Nur Gül, Nisanur Yılmaz, and Canan Solmaz were among the project researchers.

- The project titled 'Estimating the Size of a Hidden Barcoded Cancer Cell Population Using the Molecular German Tank Problem Approach,' led by Tutku Ören, qualified for support. Berra İduğ, Sude Runç, and Azra Aşkın were among the researchers of the project.
