The Üsküdar TRGENMER team, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Cihan Taştan from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, visited Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan in his office. Expressing his satisfaction with the visit, Tarhan offered suggestions to the Üsküdar TRGENMER team.
Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics Assistant Professor Dr. Cihan Taştan and his team are attracting attention with their work within TRGENMER.
Recently, in the field of rare diseases, the team published the in vitro laboratory studies of transgenic CAR-T cell therapy, which is being developed against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) cancer in the field of Cancer Immunotherapy with the support of the Turkish Health Institutes Presidency (TÜSEB), in the CAR-T cell special issue of the SCI-indexed Vaccines journal. The study has been supported since the opening of the TRGENMER center from July 2021 to July 2023.
The scientists, who garnered interest with their work, visited Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan’s office.
Assistant Professor Dr. Cihan Taştan and the TRGENMER team extended their gratitude to Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, who is among the authors of the published article and has been instrumental in Turkey's production of world-standard studies and products.
During the visit, Taştan informed Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan about the ongoing project of the Üsküdar TRGENMER team and exchanged ideas with Tarhan.
Assistant Professor Dr. Cihan Taştan and the TRGENMER team framed and presented the study published in the CAR-T cell special issue of the SCI-indexed Vaccines journal as a certificate and a gift to Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan.
