Hosted by Koç University Hospital KOC AIMES, the “Koç Clinical Research Symposium” was held under the theme “Innovative Approaches in Clinical Research.” The symposium, which addressed current developments in clinical research in Türkiye and around the world, was attended by Dr. Cihan Taştan, General Director of Üsküdar University TRGENMER & NPCELLAB GMP, and R&D Officer Beyza Aydın.

Leading academics in the field, experts from international research institutions, and representatives of the healthcare industry came together at Koç University Faculty of Medicine RMK AIMES.

Current approaches in clinical research were discussed

Within the scope of the symposium, new trends in clinical research in Türkiye and globally were discussed, along with innovative models for academia industry collaboration, the integration of cellular therapies into clinical research, regulatory and operational approaches, and the use of artificial intelligence applications in clinical research.

A strong perspective on the global clinical research ecosystem

At the event, where the perspectives of Koç University, AIFD, and the Clinical Research Association were shared, sessions conducted in cooperation with the Mayo Clinic Care Network provided a comprehensive perspective on the global clinical research ecosystem.

Leaders of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors shared their experiences

The symposium also featured sessions with representatives from leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies such as BioNTech, AstraZeneca, and Miltenyi Biotec. These sessions provided detailed evaluations of GMP compliant manufacturing processes, the transition of cellular therapies into clinical phases, and innovative clinical research management models.

Strategic collaborations for the ATMP ecosystem continue

Üsküdar University TRGENMER & NPCELLAB GMP will continue to pursue scientific, technological, and strategic collaborations with national and international stakeholders in line with its goal of developing advanced therapy medicinal products in compliance with GMP standards, effectively integrating them into clinical research, and strengthening the advanced therapy medicinal products ecosystem in Türkiye.
